The Masters – Each year, during the first full week in April, The Masters Golf Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club hosts thousands of patrons and visitors from across the world. Credited as one of the most prestigious and respected golf tournaments, Augusta is proud to be home to the golfers, celebrities and visitors who travel and reside here throughout the week.
Arts in the Heart of Augusta – For two and a half days in the fall, over 88,000 visitors come to downtown Augusta for a celebration of food, arts, diversity and culture. Arts in the Heart of Augusta features fine arts and crafts, a global village with food from more than 20 countries and five stages loaded with with live entertainment.
Steeplechase – The Aiken Steeplechase Association hosts two steeplechase racing events sanctioned by the National Steeplechase Association each year, the Imperial Cup in March and the Holiday Cup in October. The proceeds from these racing events are given back to the Aiken community for charities in the area.
Thunder over Evans – Thunder Over Evans is the CSRA’s public celebration of Armed Forces Day. Thunder Over Evans brings the public and military together for a day filled with events and a tribute to all military service members. It is capped off at night with one of the largest fireworks
shows in the area.
Rock Fore! Dough – Rock Fore! Dough is a Masters week tradition that takes place on the Tuesday night of Masters week. This event combines the love people have for both golf and music and raises money for youth golf programs at the First Tee of Augusta.
SRP Park – SRP Park has become a social staple in downtown North Augusta. Home to the Augusta Greenjackets baseball team, SRP park was voted the best minor league ballpark in 2018. When the Greenjackets aren’t playing, SRP is the premier place for events, concerts and parties.
Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee – The Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee is an annual two-day festival held in downtown North Augusta. The festival features arts & crafts, live music, food & beverage, amusement rides, inflatables and even a costume contest.
KICKS 99 Guitar Pull – KICKS 99 Guitar Pull is an annual acoustic concert held in the James Brown Arena and their lineup has included the hottest artists in country music.The concert benefits The United Way of the CSRA, providing funds to support local families during the holidays.
Ironman 70.3 Augusta – The Ironman 70.3 Augusta is one of the largest half Ironman events in the world. The Ironman consists of running and biking through Augusta along with a swim in the Savannah River. Ironman 70.3 Augusta welcomes participants and volunteers.
Lights of the South – Located in Grovetown, Lights of the South offers visitors a holiday experience to remember. With over a million holiday lights, hay rides, Santa, s’mores and more, Lights of the South is the largest venue for Christmas lights and adventures in the area.
Fort Gordon Independence Celebration – This free Fourth of July celebration is open to the public at Barton Field at Fort Gordon. Celebrate America’s freedom at this one day event that includes carnivals, shopping, food, live entertainment and a fireworks extravaganza.
Oliver Hardy Festival – The Oliver Hardy Festival is an annual free festival in Harlem. The festival includes a hometown parade, live entertainment, vendors and food.
